On December 22, 2023, the Vietnam Joint Stock Auction Company held an auction for thousands of car license plates. One of the standout license plates was “11A-111.11” which fetched a high bid of nearly 9 billion VND. However, another license plate that caught everyone’s attention was “30L-000.01” due to its unique and valuable status. The bidding for this license plate lasted for 30 minutes before a fortunate buyer emerged.
The license plates with the numbers “000.01” from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are highly coveted by wealthy individuals as they symbolize rarity and superiority. As a result, there were several intense bidding moments for the beautiful license plate “30L-000.01” right from the start.
After a tense 30-minute auction, the “30L-000.01” license plate was sold for a staggering price of 2.805 billion VND. This price is almost 200 million VND higher than that of a Lexus ES car and surpasses the value of many other mid-range luxury sedans. It truly highlights the allure and prestige associated with the “30L” license plate.
Car plate enthusiasts are now eagerly awaiting the identity of the winning bidder who secured the “30L-000.01” license plate for over 2.8 billion VND. They are curious to know which luxury car this license plate will be registered for. Will it be a rare car model like the Maybach 62S, as seen in the recent case where a wealthy individual registered the license plate “51L-000.01” for their Maybach, which is a model that has been discontinued for over 10 years?
According to the regulations, the winning bidder must pay the full amount for the car license plate within 15 days from the date of the auction result announcement. This full amount will be deducted from the initial deposit of 40 million VND, but it does not include the vehicle registration fee.
Furthermore, within 12 months, the winner of the car license plate auction must register the license plate for their vehicle. Failure to do so within the designated timeframe will result in the license plate being transferred to the registration and vehicle management system, and the winning bidder will not be refunded the auction amount they previously paid.
