The 2024 Kia Carnival facelift model has been launched since November 2023 and it is still highly sought after until now, especially the hybrid version.
The demand for the 2024 Carnival hybrid model is continuously increasing, with 80% of orders being for the hybrid version. Customers who opt for the hybrid model will have to wait for an additional year to receive their car, while those who choose the petrol version will only need to wait for 3 months.
In the Korean market, the 2024 Kia Carnival Hybrid is available in 4 different trim levels, with prices ranging from 34.7 to 96.5 million won (approximately 645 million to 1.8 billion VND). There are also two interior options available, including a 7-seater and a 9-seater version.
In terms of design, the Kia Carnival hybrid shares the same exterior design as the petrol version. The front of the car features a new vertical headlight cluster with a stylized T-shaped LED daytime running light, which resembles the design of Kia’s recent models such as the EV9 and the 2023 Seltos. The grille retains its signature tiger-nose shape with a horizontal or fox-eye pattern, depending on the trim level.
The rear of the car stands out with vertically arranged taillights connected by a slim light strip that runs horizontally across the rear of the car. The design of the rear bumper and tailgate has also been revised to create a more harmonious look.
The Gravity version of the car features unique exterior details, including a distinctive grille, alloy wheels, roof rack, chrome trim on the C-pillar/door/trunk, and silver front/rear fake skid plates. These details give the MPV model a more SUV-like appearance.
Inside the cabin, the Carnival hybrid is equipped with a 12.3-inch central entertainment screen and a digital instrument cluster integrated into a dual-screen cluster. The car also features a heads-up display (HUD) that projects information onto the windshield.
The new air conditioning controls have been redesigned to be neater and more user-friendly. The gear lever area now features a rotary knob gear lever. Other notable features include a dashcam, smart key, and digital rearview mirror. The ergonomic seats are upholstered in premium leather and come with heating, cooling, and massage functions.
When it comes to safety, the car is equipped with the Highway Driving Assistance 2 system, which provides automatic driving assistance by maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, maintaining a preset speed, and keeping the car within its lane. The new generation of the system also includes a lane change assist function. Other safety features include an early collision avoidance support system, intelligent speed limit assistance, front/rear/side parking distance warnings, steering wheel vibration warnings, and 8 airbags.
The 2024 Carnival hybrid is powered by a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 1.6L petrol engine combined with an electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This hybrid powertrain produces a total output of 245 horsepower and a maximum torque of 366 Nm.
According to the manufacturer, the combined fuel consumption of the new Carnival Hybrid is 14 km/liter (approximately 7.14 liters/100 km) for the 9-seater version with 18-inch wheels. The 7-seater version with 19-inch wheels has a slightly lower fuel consumption of 13.5 km/liter (approximately 7.4 liters/100 km).
The 2024 Kia Carnival Hybrid is also equipped with E-Ride technology to minimize vehicle shake when going over speed bumps and an E-Handling system to enhance responsiveness and stability during steering and cornering.
