The new Lexus LBX has a total length of 4,190 mm, width of 1,825 mm, and height of 1,560 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. Compared to the UX, the new LBX is 305 mm shorter, 15 mm narrower, but 20 mm taller. The car is offered with two options of alloy wheels, including 17-inch and 18-inch types.
The 2023 Lexus LBX will be exclusively offered as a hybrid and will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions.
Under the hood is a hybrid system based on a 1.5L 3-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 134 horsepower and a peak torque of 185 Nm. With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds.
All versions of the new Lexus LBX are equipped with front MacPherson strut suspension and rear torsion beam suspension for FWD models, and double wishbone suspension for AWD models.
This model also features a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, as well as the Lexus Safety System+ driver assistance system. The main highlights include dynamic radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, lane departure assist, road sign assist, and Pre-Collision System with Intersection Turning Assist.
Interestingly, the small-sized crossover has an aluminum hood and plastic fenders to reduce weight.
Moving inside, the new Lexus LBX has a fully digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch display and a 9.8-inch touch screen infotainment system combined with an optional Head-Up Display.
The entertainment system supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lexus once again collaborates with Mark Levinson to provide a 13-speaker audio system with a subwoofer.
