Lexus has recently revealed an exciting concept car at the Tokyo Auto Salon. This concept, called the Lexus LBX Morizo RR Concept, is based on the popular LBX B-segment crossover model. The name of the concept is inspired by the racing nickname of Toyota's President, Akio Toyoda. Introducing the LBX Morizo RR Concept, a prototype car with enhanced core car elements that enable the driver to engage with the car and pursue the joy of driving. This concept vehicle is equipped with Toyota’s 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, G16E-GTS, which is also utilized in the 2024 GR Yaris. It features a full-time AWD system and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The LBX Morizo RR Concept’s engine block delivers similar power output to the 2024 GR Yaris, generating 304 PS at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 400 Nm between 3,250 rpm and 4,600 rpm.

Measuring 4,190 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width (20 mm wider than the base LBX), and 1,535 mm in height (10 mm lower), the LBX Morizo RR Concept boasts a striking Sonic Chrome paint finish with contrasting black accents. The grille border and brake calipers are adorned with a distinctive yellow color, while the ‘Morizo RR’ emblem signifies the special nature of this concept model.

Lexus has incorporated numerous “exclusive developments” in the LBX Morizo RR Concept, including advancements in the car’s body, suspension system, tires, AWD control system, and 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is equipped with 19-inch forged aluminum wheels from BBS, wrapped in Continental Sportcontact 7 tires.

Inside the cabin, you’ll find special sports seats with yellow seat belts featuring the Morizo RR symbol, as well as aluminum pedals.
