On the evening of January 13, 2024, not only introducing the first showroom in Saigon but also announcing the price of the Lynk & Co 01 mid-size SUV, the premium sub-brand of Geely Group officially launched the Lynk & Co 05, a C-segment coupe SUV, as their third model in the Vietnamese market after the 09 and 01.
At this event, the Chinese automotive brand Lynk & Co also announced the selling price of the Lynk & Co 05, with the C-segment coupe SUV being priced at 1,599 billion VND. This price point will make it face difficulties as its direct competitor, the Peugeot 408, has been distributed through authorized channels since October last year with the highest price of only 1,269 billion VND, which means the difference is 330 million VND.
About the Lynk & Co 05, it is a crossover SUV that is considered the coupe version of the 01, with modern design and outstanding features including sharp and sporty lines, along with front and rear sporty bumpers, creating a powerful and agile appearance.
Compared to the 01, the most noticeable difference of the 05 is that the roof slopes down straight, creating a harmonious look for a coupe SUV. Next are the features such as unique LED headlights, full LED taillights in the shape of an energy block, Skyline Halo window trim, and 20-inch trendy wheels painted in Silver Black.
Inside the cabin, the Lynk & Co 05 features a 2.0 infotainment system including a 12.8-inch touchscreen in the center, a 12.3-inch HD instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity, and many other attractive features.
Alongside premium amenities, the highlights of the Lynk & Co 05 are its advanced technologies and safety features such as ABS braking system, parking assist, collision warning, electronic stability control, and many driver assistance sensors. With its crossover SUV design, the car offers spacious space for passengers and cargo, making long trips for families comfortable and convenient.
Last but not least, the Lynk & Co 05 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine just like the 01 model but with a maximum output of 254 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm at a range of 1,800 – 4,800 rpm.
The engine on the Lynk & Co 05 is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, according to the company, the C-segment coupe SUV consumes an average of 7.8 liters of fuel per 100 km.
