At the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2024 in the US, numerous attendees couldn’t resist stopping in front of VinFast’s exhibition space. One model that stood out was the VinFast VF Wild, which exudes the ruggedness, power, and “wildness” of a traditional pickup truck while still embodying the essence of the future.

Although not many specifications have been revealed about the VF Wild, its eye-catching design, luxurious interior, and expandable cargo bed make VinFast’s electric pickup truck a “magnet” for US consumers.
“The VF Wild model has attracted a lot of attention at this year’s CES. I have spoken with many colleagues and manufacturers, and they have all asked me: Have you seen VinFast’s pickup truck?” said Kevin Joostema, an expert from Car Ed (Car Education), commenting on the VF Wild’s appeal.
From a user’s perspective, Dung Taylor, a US customer, described the VF Wild in three words: Attractive, Luxurious, and Beautiful – accolades he admitted he rarely uses when talking about a car.
According to him, the VF Wild “captivates” by combining the strengths of famous models in the US market: the power of Tesla’s Cybertruck combined with the elegance and luxury of Rivian’s vehicles. The interior of the VF Wild also leaves a strong impression on users – something that attracted both visitors and industry experts at the exhibition.
Industry experts praised the beauty of the VF Wild
In addition to attracting a large audience in the US, the VF Wild has also caused a stir in the international media. With its special appeal, the renowned automotive news website Autoblog immediately named the VF Wild as one of the top 5 most popular models at CES 2024. The electric pickup truck from Vietnam also received the “Best CES 2024 Award” from EFTM – Australia’s lifestyle magazine, awarded by the EFTM Editorial Board. Techloy, the leading tech news site in Africa, voted the VF Wild as one of the top 5 impressive car models at this year’s CES, highlighting its design with an electronic mirror system, reverse-opening doors, and foldable seats to increase cargo space.

With high expectations for the VF Wild, experts believe that VinFast’s electric pickup truck will be well received by US consumers.
“Many people have asked about this car. They are particularly interested in when the VF Wild will start production, when it will be available for sale, and when it will hit the US streets. They also want to learn more about the vehicle’s technical specifications,” said Rafael Chocron, a senior engineer at Torino Design, discussing the potential of the VF Wild in the US.
He also mentioned that although the VF Wild is currently in the concept stage, many automotive industry experts predict that Vietnam’s impressive car could soon be present in the market. “In my opinion, the VF Wild will be the perfect car for the US market with its unique design, impressive proportions, distinctive lines, and powerful style,” the expert predicted.
The positive public reception bodes well for the VF Wild in the promising pickup truck segment in the US
According to international experts, VinFast’s entry into the pickup truck segment is a wise decision given its vibrant nature in the US. The US pickup truck market, valued at nearly $209 billion in 2023 according to Fortune Business Insights, is expected to grow rapidly at a rate of 5.3% per year. By 2030, this lucrative market is projected to expand to nearly $300 billion.
Despite its scale, automakers have yet to meet the actual needs of users. Writer Jeff Zurschmeide, an automotive journalist for the Portland Tribune and various online publications, pointed out that Americans are still searching for a quality electric pickup truck at an affordable price. Currently, the pickup trucks available in the US market are considered overly expensive. “If this product has a good price and good quality, I think the VF Wild will achieve high sales numbers,” said Jeff Zurschmeide.
Commenting on the prospects of entering the US market, expert Kevin Joostema believes that there is a great opportunity for VinFast with the current generation of young and open-minded US consumers. “The market is always open to innovation and novelty,” said Kevin Joostema, evaluating VinFast’s prospects.
With these favorable conditions, according to industry experts, VF Wild could be an important weapon for VinFast to dominate the largest and most demanding market in the world: the US. Furthermore, as assessed by the famous magazine Auto Evolution, VinFast will have the opportunity to penetrate other markets in the near future as the Vietnamese automaker has no intention of slowing down.
