Recently, a reputable car dealership in Ho Chi Minh City is selling a red Ferrari F8 for an astonishing price of 23.5 billion dong. This price has shocked numerous car enthusiasts and businessmen as it is equivalent to the price of a brand new F8 at the time of purchase.
According to research, this Ferrari F8 is part of the Tributo edition (hardtop), manufactured in 2020, and has traveled nearly 4,000 kilometers. The initial owner of the car was businessman Nguyen Quoc Cuong (also known as Cuong Do-la). In mid-2023, the wealthy tycoon sold it to businessman Pham Tran Nhat Minh (also known as Minh “Nhua”).
It is known that the price of a new Ferrari F8 Tributo at the time of purchase is around 23-24 billion dong. After completing the registration process with a license plate in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, the owner has to spend about 26 billion dong. Previously, an F8 Tributo owned by a tycoon in Hanoi was sold for over 25 billion dong with an odometer reading of less than 1,000 kilometers.
Basically, after 4 years of use, the exterior of this 2020 Ferrari F8 is still in excellent condition. The prominent Rosso Corsa red paint of the car remains unaltered since its arrival in Vietnam, thanks to the real estate businessman who owned and diligently maintained the car. The front of the car features black decals, adding a striking visual highlight.
Although it comes at a high price, the equipment on this car is less abundant compared to many other F8s in Vietnam. The exterior lacks carbon fiber details, being instead made of black painted composite material, including the front spoiler, side skirts, diffuser, and more. The most expensive option is the 5-spoke spiral-shaped wheels, featuring red brake calipers. This option costs about 220 million dong.
The car’s interior mainly adopts a black color scheme, accentuated with red stitching and contrasting red stripes. After 4 years of use, the leather details of the car show no signs of cracking or sagging. Many positions are adorned with carbon fiber, such as the steering wheel, door sills, paddle shifters, dashboard, and more. The seats are customized with a carbon fiber frame.
The “heart” of the Ferrari F8 Tributo is a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a displacement of 3.9 liters. This engine produces a maximum power of 710 horsepower and a torque of 770 Nm. With a weight of only 1,330 kg, this supercar can easily accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 340 km/h.
In 2023, the Italian supercar manufacturer discontinued the Ferrari F8 series. Although there is no direct replacement for this series, two new supercars, namely the SF90 and the 296, have been introduced with equally impressive performance. Currently, at least 10 cars from both series have been imported into Vietnam through private importers and authorized dealerships.
After selling the Ferrari F8 Tributo in mid-2023, businessman Nguyen Quoc Cuong still owns many other luxurious cars, such as the Ferrari SF90 Spider, Porsche 911 Sport Classic, Honda Civic Type R, and Range Rover SVAutobiography 2023. Meanwhile, Minh “Nhua” sold his F8 to make room for the McLaren Elva, worth 143 billion dong, which is currently undergoing registration.
