Today, on January 10, 2024, Mitsubishi has officially launched its Xforce model in the Vietnamese market. Vietnam is the second market to receive this B-segment SUV, following Indonesia.
As previously leaked information, Mitsubishi Xforce in Vietnam is available in a total of 4 versions, including GLX, Exceed, Premium, and Ultimate. The prices of the GLX, Exceed, and Premium versions of this B-segment SUV range from 620 to 699 million VND, while the Ultimate version does not have a price yet. Therefore, Mitsubishi Xforce has a starting price on par with the Kia Seltos and is much cheaper than other competitors such as the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Yaris Cross, or Honda HR-V.

Imported completely built-up from Indonesia, Mitsubishi Xforce in Vietnam has dimensions of 4,390 x 1,810 x 1,660 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, and a ground clearance of 222 mm. Compared to rival models in the same segment, this car has a longer wheelbase and higher ground clearance.

As a commercial version of the previously debuted XFC Concept at the Vietnam Auto Exhibition 2022, Xforce applies the familiar Dynamic Shield design language of the Mitsubishi brand. This SUV features a large trapezoidal grille, “T” shaped headlight cluster, muscular front and rear bumpers, and prominent creased lines.

LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels come as standard equipment for this model. The higher-end version will also have front LED fog lights, automatic rain-sensing wipers, power tailgate, and 18-inch wheels.

Inside the Mitsubishi Xforce, there is a spacious 5-seater interior thanks to the longer wheelbase than its competitors. The interior is designed according to the Horizontal Axis philosophy, so the dashboard and center control panel are horizontally extended.

One of the highlights of the interior is the mélange fabric material used for the center control panel area. Mitsubishi claims that this material is resistant to dirt and can be easily wiped clean with regular tissue paper.
In addition, Mitsubishi Xforce has a 3-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch customizable touchscreen center display that supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, a Yamaha Premium Dynamic Sound 8-speaker audio system with tweeters on the A-pillar, coaxial speakers in the rear doors, a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, rear passenger air vents, nanoeX air filter function, wireless phone charging, USB Type A/Type C ports, and interior ambient lighting.

In addition, there are a variety of storage compartments in the Mitsubishi Xforce to ensure practicality. Users can store up to 21 bottles of 600ml each inside the car.
Especially, Mitsubishi Xforce in Vietnam also features advanced safety features ADAS – equipment absent in cars for the Indonesian market. The Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing (MMSS) technology package includes features such as collision warning, emergency brake assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Active Yaw Control (AYC) system helps control braking force when making sharp turns or entering curves, which is equipped for this B-segment SUV.

Under the hood of the Mitsubishi Xforce is a familiar 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum output of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 141 Nm. This is the engine currently used in the Mitsubishi Xpander. The engine is paired with a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive. The car has 4 driving modes, including Normal, Gravel, Mud, and Slippery.
