Moving into the new generation, the Hyundai Palisade will undergo a redesigned chassis with an extended wheelbase.
Hyundai Palisade of the new generation has recently been seen on the roads, heavily disguised. However, leaked images reveal that the car’s design has gone through some changes.
Prior to this, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2025, launched in 2023, also attracted a lot of attention with its bold and distinctive design. Although the “look” of the Santa Fe 2025 was controversial at the time, Hyundai will still incorporate some design elements from this model into the new generation Palisade.
Olabisi Boyle, Hyundai’s VP of product planning, confirmed that the second-generation Hyundai Palisade will have a significantly different design from the current model. She also hinted that the new design will be equally impressive as the changes seen in the Santa Fe.
Despite being heavily camouflaged, it is not difficult to notice that the overall design of the new Palisade has become more angular. The front and rear of the car can be observed to have an almost right-angle interface with the ground.
Furthermore, the daytime running lights and headlights have been updated, while the grille retains its large size. The A-pillar, roof, and side window frame resemble the Santa Fe 2025, featuring straight lines and sharp angles. Although the test prototype has round wheel arches, it wouldn’t be surprising if the final production version comes with square mudguards similar to its “sibling” Santa Fe.
The new Palisade will adopt a new chassis with a longer wheelbase compared to the current model, resulting in improved interior space. Additionally, the car will offer new engine choices such as the 2.5L hybrid or the turbocharged V6 3.5L to complement this upgrade.
The new generation Hyundai Palisade is expected to be launched in 2025.
