The first Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider has been delivered to a customer, more than two years after its debut.
Unveiled in August 2021, the Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider is the fastest convertible sports car ever produced by the British automaker. This supercar incorporates many technologies from the F1 race cars of the Red Bull Racing team.
After more than 2 years, Aston Martin has announced the delivery of the inaugural Valkyrie Spider. The fortunate owner of this car is not only a devoted fan of the brand but also the proud owner of a Valkyrie coupe and a classic DB5.
Aston Martin plans to produce a total of 260 Valkyries, with 150 being coupe versions, 85 convertibles, and 25 Valkyrie AMR Pros.
The first delivered Valkyrie Spider boasts a classy British Racing Green exterior paint. The key difference between the Valkyrie Spider and the coupe variant lies in the removable carbon fiber roof, which can be manually detached to transform the car into a convertible. Furthermore, the gullwing doors on the coupe have been substituted with butterfly doors on the convertible.
Similar to the coupe version, the Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider is equipped with a 6.5L V12 hybrid engine, boasting a total output of 1,155 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. With this power, the British supercar can achieve a top speed of 330km/h with the top down and over 350 km/h with the top closed.
The price of the Valkyrie Spider has not been disclosed yet, but it is anticipated to surpass the starting price of $3.2 million for the coupe version.
