Recently, the social media page of Porsche Vietnam Club announced an extraordinary cross-continental journey, covering an astounding distance of 35,000 km from Vietnam all the way to Germany.
The journey is set to take place around July 2024, lasting for 65 days as it traverses through two continents, Asia and Europe, encompassing a grand total of 16 countries: Vietnam, China, Russia, Mongolia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, France, and eventually concluding in Stuttgart, Germany, where Porsche’s prestigious factory is located. The estimated distance of this remarkable expedition is an astonishing 35,000 km. Starting from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, the convoy will embark on its journey, heading northward to enter Chinese territory.
Shortly after Porsche Vietnam’s tour information was posted, the renowned “mountain tycoon,” Cuong Do La, swiftly registered himself to partake in this remarkable adventure. For his upcoming expedition, entrepreneur Cuong Do La has opted for two extraordinary Porsche models: the Porsche 911 Sport Classic and the Porsche Cayenne. The Porsche 911 Sport Classic, an unparalleled limited-edition masterpiece, is an exclusive car with only 1,250 units manufactured worldwide. This particular Porsche was ordered by the “mountain tycoon” back in July 2022.
Draped in a striking gray hue, the “mountain tycoon’s” Porsche 911 Sport Classic is adorned with white sport stripes and classic design 5-spoke wheels. This exceptional vehicle boasts the serial number 1.202 and is further embellished with a number decal “82” on its side, symbolizing the birthdate of the esteemed entrepreneur (12/02/1982).
Under the hood, the Porsche 911 Sport Classic of the “mountain tycoon” Cuong Do La derives its power from a robust 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3.8 liters and twin-turbocharging technology. Capable of generating a maximum output of 542 horsepower and an impressive torque of 600 Nm, this commanding engine is coupled with a 7-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, enabling this limited-edition sports car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a breathtaking 4.1 seconds, ultimately reaching a top speed of 315 km/h.
The current market value of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic stands at a staggering 19.22 billion VND, excluding optional extras and on-road costs. Prior to his acquisition of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic, entrepreneur Nguyen Quoc Cuong was known for his extraordinary feat of driving a Porsche 911 GT3, conquering four ASEAN countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, in April 2023. The journey spanned a duration of 11 days, covering a remarkable distance of approximately 3,900 km. However, following the arrival of the 911 Sport Classic, the “mountain tycoon” decided to part ways with his Porsche 911 GT.
In addition to the Porsche 911 Sport Classic driven by Cuong Do La, this incredible journey also witnessed the presence of the extraordinary limited-edition off-road supercar, the Porsche 911 Dakar. Owned by a tycoon hailing from Hai Phong Province, this exceptional car has been officially imported and bears a price tag of approximately 15.3 billion VND, excluding additional optional extras.
This awe-inspiring off-road supercar recently completed an astonishing 35,000 km trek from Vietnam to China, culminating in the Gobi Desert.
Propelling the Porsche 911 Dakar is an indomitable 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine, capable of delivering an exhilarating 473 horsepower and an impressive torque of 570 Nm. Combined with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and an advanced AWD system, this powerful setup allows the car to effortlessly accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds, ultimately reaching an impressive top speed of 240 km/h.
