At CES 2024, VinFast officially unveils the DrgnFly electric bike in the US market. With the slogan “Lead with style,” DrgnFly is a unique and exhilarating option that brings electric mobility closer to homes.
The product name “DrgnFly” draws inspiration from the imagery of a soaring dragon, symbolizing the illustrious history of the Vietnamese people. DrgnFly is introduced just one year after demonstrating VinFast’s unwavering commitment towards advancing green mobility.
VinFast DrgnFly will make its debut in the US market with an anticipated starting price of $2,800. It comes with a 2-year official warranty and an unlimited range. The product will progressively expand into other countries in the near future.
In collaboration with Eskild Hansen, a renowned creative studio from Denmark that has garnered prestigious Red Dot awards, DrgnFly seamlessly blends classic style with the sustainable transportation of the future. Noteworthy design elements of DrgnFly include an extended frame with a V shape, reminiscent of the image of a flying dragon – “Thang Long,” symbolizing VinFast’s trailblazing endeavors. From its design to the driving experience, DrgnFly boasts an elongated handlebar, large tires, and an ergonomic saddle, all contributing to an optimized driving experience that empowers users to confidently conquer any journey.
The DrgnFly frame is constructed with aluminum to ensure durability and flexibility while on the move. The battery is discreetly placed within the frame, effortlessly harmonizing classic style with cutting-edge technology. With a range of up to 102 km per full charge and an easily detachable battery, the lithium battery propels DrgnFly as a modern, convenient, and accessible electric mobility solution for all.
DrgnFly harnesses a 750W motor integrated into the rear wheel, along with a single-speed transmission and a torque sensor that enables the bike to reach a smooth and immediate maximum speed of 45 km/h.
Furthermore, DrgnFly’s advanced energy optimization system allows users to travel longer distances with multiple riding modes. The meticulously calibrated torque sensor detects motion changes up to 16,000 times/second, surpassing traditional sensors of conventional electric bikes.
