The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is venturing into the electric vehicle (EV) market and has made a remarkable entry with their first creation, the SU7 sedan, which was launched in late December 2023. However, customers have provided some feedback on the design of this particular electric car model from the Chinese company. Surprisingly, the newly introduced car has undergone subtle design changes based on customer feedback.

The documents submitted to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have revealed that while the overall appearance remains unchanged, Xiaomi will introduce new modifications to give it a sportier look.

The most significant change is at the rear of the car. It seems that the Chinese car brand has fine-tuned the design of the smaller rear badge to make it more symmetrical. Previously, the brand name occupied almost the entire space on the trunk, but now it has been significantly reduced in size.

In addition, Xiaomi has added 21-inch wheels to the options list (previously the largest wheels were 20 inches) and the brake calipers now come in various colors. Finally, carbon fiber mirror caps have been added to the options list, giving the design a slightly sportier appearance.

With the ambition to become a formidable competitor to the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S, the SU7 boasts impressive performance. Equipped with two electric motors, the top-of-the-line version delivers 664 horsepower, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds. With a 101 kWh battery pack, Xiaomi estimates that the SU7 is capable of covering a distance of up to 800 km on a single full charge.

As expected from a technology company, the SU7 features an impressive interior. It includes a 7.1-inch instrument cluster and a 16.1-inch infotainment screen, along with all the connectivity features to provide a fast and intuitive experience similar to the latest tablets.
