Recently, the BMW XM has introduced a new hybrid version called the 50e. This new version is not only more fuel-efficient but also comes at a relatively affordable price, making it easily accessible for users.
According to the information, the BMW XM 50e has a starting price of 139,800 USD (equivalent to about 3.41 billion VND), which is considerably cheaper than the regular BMW XM.
Under the hood of the BMW XM 50e is a 3.0L turbocharged I-6 engine combined with an electric motor, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, giving a total power output of 469 horsepower and a torque of 700 Nm. The car takes 5.1 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.
This engine power may not be outstanding compared to the regular BMW XM. The original XM version is equipped with a powerful V8 engine producing 653 horsepower, capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, while the Label Red version only takes 3.8 seconds.
Despite being slightly slower in terms of speed, the XM 50e excels in fuel efficiency. The car has a pure electric operating range of 83 km and an average fuel consumption of 1.3 liters/100 km in combined petrol-electric mode.
Apart from the engine, the hybrid 50e version doesn’t have many differences compared to the original XM. The easy way to distinguish the XM 50e from the regular XM is through the LED running lights along the bottom edge of the side windows, chrome trim with pearl effect on the radiator grille, and the rear diffuser with black exhaust tips and silver accents.
These details not only add highlights to the car but also reflect the sophistication in every design element of BMW.
