In the new version, BMW Z4 is equipped with the optional Handschalter upgrade package, featuring a 6-speed manual transmission, improved suspension system, and new paint colors.

After several years of selling the Z4 only with an 8-speed automatic transmission, BMW has finally decided to add a manual transmission to this sports car model. In the latest upgrade version, BMW Z4 is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as an optional upgrade package. Additionally, this performance upgrade package, called “Handschalter”, includes changes to the suspension system, wheel design, paint colors, and interior features.

To own the Handschalter upgrade package, customers need to spend an additional amount of money, up to $3,500 (85 million VND). Only the Z4 M40i version has this optional package, while the Z4 sDrive30i still only has an 8-speed automatic transmission.

BMW Z4 2025 is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 382 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The electronically limited top speed is 249 km/h. In the 8-speed automatic version, the BMW Z4 M40i can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, while the corresponding figure for the manual transmission version is 4.2 seconds.

As part of the Handschalter package, the suspension system of the manual transmission Z4 is upgraded in terms of traction and camber control, adding helper springs at the front and rear, reinforced sway bars, reconfigured dampers, and sport steering settings. The BMW Z4 will also feature staggered-sized wheels for the first time, with 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels, which will significantly impact the handling ability of the car.

In addition, the Handschalter option package also includes two exclusive paint colors: San Remo Green metallic and Frozen Deep Green. Moreover, the car is equipped with red brake calipers and glossy black decorative details.

Lastly, the manual transmission package includes interior upgrades. Customers can replace the synthetic Sensatec leather with genuine Vernasca leather at no additional cost. Customers have up to five color options, along with Alcantara and various other types of interior leather upholstery.
