To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the V-Series sports branch, Cadillac has launched the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing 2025, with a more sporty exterior and a more modern interior.
Starting with the CT5-V 2025, this model has a new front end that makes the car look lower and wider. This sports sedan also features a modified grille, along with new headlights with a vertical design. In addition, the CT5-V has a new front bumper with glossy black accents and a rear spoiler.
Other highlights include 19-inch wheels and updated exterior paint colors, including Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic.
In the cabin, the car receives an all-new 33-inch curved screen, combined with a digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. The infotainment screen comes with integrated Google apps. Detailed information will be announced closer to the US launch date, but the CT5-V comes with front seats with massage, heating, and AKG audio system.
Drivers will also find the standard Super Cruise automatic steering system and new driver distraction alert feature. In terms of new safety technology, the car currently has traffic sign recognition, blind spot assist, and automatic emergency braking. In addition, there are front collision warning features, rear cross-traffic braking, advanced automatic emergency braking, and enhanced automatic parking assist.
The CT5-V Blackwing 2025 impresses with a more aggressive appearance, easily distinguishable from the CT5-V. The top-of-the-line model has a more sporty front end and a unique grille design. The car is equipped with forged aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
If the standard model is still not powerful enough, Cadillac will offer several carbon fiber appearance packages, and information will be announced later.
The interior is mostly inherited from the CT5-V, but the Blackwing version has additional features including a heads-up display and front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage. The unique steering wheel features dedicated control buttons.
Powering the CT5-V is a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine for maximum power of 360 horsepower and peak torque of 548 Nm, combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and optional all-wheel drive.
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is equipped with a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that produces a maximum power of 668 horsepower and peak torque of 892 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing 2025 are expected to start production this summer.
