Recently, a private showroom announced the sale of a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT with a staggering discount of nearly 2 billion VND compared to its original price in Vietnam. This surprising news has caught the attention of many people. Other units of this model are currently being sold at prices ranging from 3.5-3.7 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Duy, the proud owner of the showroom, revealed that the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT is now available for purchase at the price of 3.3 billion VND. When it was first introduced in Vietnam, the car was being sold for a whopping 5.2 billion VND. Unfortunately, the showroom is currently facing significant losses as the car lost its value by 3 generations in 2024.
Before this remarkable discount, the car had gone through several price reductions in an attempt to attract potential buyers, but those efforts were unsuccessful. The price initially dropped to 4.5 billion VND, then 4 billion VND, and finally, 2 months ago, it plummeted to around 3.5 billion VND.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E, despite being Ford’s first electric car, has not been officially distributed in Vietnam due to its high post-tax price. In 2019, this model made its debut in the US market. According to the official website of Ford in the US, the starting price for the GT edition is $59,995, which is equivalent to around 1.46 billion VND.
According to Autodaily’s research, the Ford Mustang Mach-E mentioned in this article is the very first one to arrive in Vietnam, independently imported. So far, only 2 cars of this model have been brought to Vietnam. The remaining car is owned by a prominent entrepreneur in Saigon, while the first car is still waiting for its future owner.
This model measures 4,739 x 1,881 x 1,621 mm in terms of length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,984 mm. Sporting a coupe-style design, the car stands out with its main orange paint and several black accents on the exterior.
Unlike traditional cars, the front of the Ford Mustang Mach-E does not feature a conventional grille. Instead, the iconic “wild horse” logo of Mustang is displayed prominently in the center. The angular headlights, along with the LED lighting system, provide a modern touch. Furthermore, the air intakes and black front bumper add to the car’s overall appeal.
The wheels are made of aluminum and come in a multi-spoke design, which is quite unique among electric car models in the market. High-performance red Brembo brake calipers, accompanied by large-sized brake discs, enhance the car’s sporty appearance.
Inside the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, black tones dominate the interior design and are complemented by white contrasting stitching. The control panel has a minimalist layout and is seamlessly integrated into the vertical 15.5-inch central screen. The air conditioning system is located below, while the upper part of the screen is dedicated to entertainment and various other functions.
The car boasts a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system with 10 speakers. It is also equipped with various safety technologies, including Co-Pilot 360 driving assistance, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assistance, emergency braking assistance, and more.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT version is powered by an electric motor and a 98.8 kWh battery pack, which provides power to both the front and rear electric motors. It generates an impressive power output of 480 horsepower and 860 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
With an ideal operating range of nearly 500 km, the car can actually reach up to 600 km in real-world conditions. Additionally, it features fast charging capability, allowing for a 10 to 80% charge in just 45 minutes.
