After the “water battle”, the electric car is still safe and sound
In the first stage, the “Green Drive – Win the Golden Dragon” contest, targeting VinFast vehicle users, received hundreds of entries. Many people said that they always wanted to spread the experiences of using VinFast electric cars in real life, and the contest was a great opportunity to do so.
One of the impressive entries that received thousands of interactions and comments in just a few days after being posted was an article by customer Nguyen Thi Nhung (Thai Nguyen). On her personal Facebook page, she recounted her “dramatic” experience with the VF 8 electric car during a business trip to Yen Bai in October 2023.
Ms. Nhung said that on the day she went on a business trip, it rained heavily in Yen Bai all night. Nearly dawn, after being warned by nearby residents, she “was shocked” to find her VF 8 submerged in water. Worried that the car was damaged, Ms. Nhung quickly started the engine and tried to find high ground to avoid the water, but the deeper she went, the deeper the water got. After moving 1km, she finally found a high place to stop and call for rescue to bring the car back to the garage the next morning.
After being soaked in water for a long time, although the car was still functioning, quite a bit of water had entered. Ms. Nhung shared that she “cried out of worry”, but when VinFast’s technical department informed her that the VF 8 only needed to be cleaned and dried, and there were no other issues, she breathed a sigh of relief.
She admitted that if it had been a gasoline-powered car that day, she might have been stuck in the water in the middle of the night. “I sincerely thank VinFast for producing such an amazing car!”, she wrote on her personal page.

For Mrs. Le Nguyen, the VF 5 Plus car brings her more than just means of transportation. She calls her car a “smart road companion” after traveling more than 1,000km together. The woman admitted that the intelligent and modern features of VF 5 Plus exceeded other models in the same segment. “I’m very happy to be one of the pioneering people to experience the amazing utilities that you bring. Like Ms. Le, Mr. Quan, the VF 8 car owner with the Facebook account name “Tran Tung Quan”, also admitted that his family and especially his children really enjoyed listening to funny stories from the intelligent assistant on the car. The special thing that his family experienced for the first time was driving an electric car without the smell of gasoline. As a result, the whole family did not worry about getting motion sickness and had the opportunity to travel together everywhere since owning the VF 8 car.
