The Honda Civic Type R is a famous sports car from the Japanese automaker, but only 1 unit of the fifth generation was available in Vietnam. With the introduction of the sixth generation, the official distribution of this model has significantly increased the accessibility for Vietnamese car enthusiasts. According to our research, there will be no less than 20 units of the new generation Civic Type R in our country.

Recently, a 2023 Honda Civic Type R was unexpectedly put up for sale in the used car market with a price of 2.45 billion VND. According to the seller, the car has traveled 5,000 kilometers after a few months of use. This price is comparable to a brand new Civic Type R, which is priced at 2.399 billion VND.

After completing the necessary procedures, the estimated value of the car is around 2.7 billion VND. Therefore, the owner has…

Speaking with Autodaily, the car owner – who is selling the car directly – shared that he has spent over 160 million VND on upgrading the vehicle. The main upgrades include the Miltek Catback exhaust system, PRL air filter, and front strut bar. The car has also been coated with ceramic to protect its details from scratches.

In addition, the black-painted 6-spoke Ray wheels equipped on this Civic Type R have a price of up to 2,000 USD (equivalent to about 47 million VND). Originally, Honda’s sports car used 19-inch, dual-tone black 5-spoke wheels.

According to an internal source, the owner of this car is the first person in Vietnam to order the 2023 Honda Civic Type R. The exterior of the car still retains its new look after 5,000 kilometers of use. The Sonic Grey Pearl paint color of the car is similar to the first unit that came to Vietnam, which is currently owned by a car enthusiast in Saigon.

Inside the car, the two-tone dark red and black color scheme remains – the only option for Honda on this car line. Many details are covered with suede leather, such as the steering wheel and seats, to enhance the grip with the driver when the car operates at high speeds or during cornering. The car is still equipped with a 10.2-inch screen behind the steering wheel, but it now has an additional +R driving mode.

Under the hood of the 2023 Honda Civic Type R is a 2.0L turbocharged engine, generating a power output of 315 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, an increase of 9 horsepower compared to the previous generation. New to this model is a 6-speed manual transmission with the characteristic Rev matching technology, which has been fine-tuned for smoother shifts and improved overall performance. The car still uses a front-wheel drive system.

In addition to the Civic Type R, the car owner also owns a rare Subaru WRX 2023 in Vietnam. This is also a sports car in the same segment as the Civic Type R. According to the owner’s sharing with Autodaily, he does not want to sell any of his cars when it comes to playing with cars, especially special models like the Type R. However, due to his preference for more expensive cars that he cannot play with too much, he finally decided to sell this car.
