When present in Vietnam, Hongqi HS5 will be a competitive rival of Hyundai Santa Fe.
As per information gathered, Hongqi HS5 has now arrived in Vietnam and is being advertised for sale by sales consultants with a promise of immediate delivery before Tet. This model is currently available in 3 exterior colors: white, black, and moon silver. It is not yet clear how much Hongqi HS5 will be sold for in Vietnam, but there are speculations that the price of the car will be around 800 million VND.
The new generation of Hongqi HS5 was launched at the Shanghai Auto Show 2023 which took place in April 2023. However, the car that has just appeared in Vietnam is not the latest version. Instead, Hongqi has brought an old version of the car to our country, which was first introduced in 2019.
The first generation of Hongqi HS5 has dimensions of 4,760 x 1,907 x 1,700 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,870 mm.
Like other Hongqi models, HS5 has a waterfall-shaped front grille. The side position lights are connected to the grille, creating a cohesive overall look. The headlights are divided into two layers and are located below, near the front bumper area. Although it is an old version, the car still has many high-end exterior features, such as automatic LED lighting system, 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin tires, and various chrome trims around the car. The rear of the car stands out with connected LED taillights by a chrome strip in the middle.
Stepping inside the cabin, Hongqi HS5 greets users with a space that looks very simple and neat but still exudes modernity. The seats of the car are wrapped in leather and suede in contrast with the dashboard, steering wheel in terms of color. In front of the driver is a three-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons, a digital instrument cluster connected to the center touch screen and the windshield heads-up display which is similar to the MBUX system of Mercedes-Benz. Next is the Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with rear air vents, and electric parking brake. Panoramic sunroof
The newly arrived Hongqi HS5 in Vietnam is most likely powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing a maximum output of 221 horsepower, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
