Thaco (the Mazda distributor in Vietnam) has recently introduced a new version of the Mazda3, the 1.5L Signature.

This new version is priced at VND 739 million, which is VND 10 million higher than the Premium version and equivalent to the highest-priced version of its rival, the Kia K3.

The 1.5L Signature version of Mazda3 will come with some advanced active safety features and conveniences compared to the Premium version.

Essentially, Mazda3 1.5L Signature has a design similar to the Premium version. Both versions have chrome-grille, full-LED headlights/taillights, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, sunroof, front/rear parking sensors, and a wind-deflector.

The only exterior difference between these two versions lies in the 1.5L Signature edition’s 18-inch wheels with 215/45 tires, while the Premium edition uses 16-inch wheels.

As for the interior, Mazda3 1.5L Signature is equipped with a range of premium features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster; an 8.8-inch center display supporting Apple CarPlay; an 8-speaker sound system; 2-position memory power driver seat; auto-dimming rearview mirror; new Mazda Connect operating system; a head-up display (HUD) showing information on the windshield; dual-zone automatic climate control; sunroof; and integrated electronic parking brake…

In terms of safety, Mazda3 1.5L Signature is equipped with additional smart brake support when reversing (SBS-R) and smart brake support for cross-traffic rear (SBS-RC). The Signature version will have a 360-degree camera system, which is more convenient than the rearview camera on lower versions.

Thaco also added adaptive cruise control with lane-keep assist (CTS) to the Mazda3 top-end version.

In addition, Mazda3 1.5L Signature still retains the i-Activsense active safety technology package with features such as blind-spot warning; rear cross-traffic alert; lane-keep assist and lane departure warning; driver attention alert; auto-leveling headlights with adaptive cornering; expandable cornering lights when steering and adjusting the far/near lighting modes.

Propelling the new Mazda3 1.5L Signature is a Skyactiv-G 1.5L gasoline engine with 110 horsepower and 146 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) acceleration control system and the i-Stop automatic engine start-stop function are also present on this version.
