Mercedes E-Class 2024 sees significant price increase, starting at $62,300

The all-new 2024 Mercedes E-Class will soon be available at dealerships in the US and is expected to come with a higher price tag compared to the BMW 5-Series by thousands of dollars.

The 2024 Mercedes E-Class is expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the first quarter of 2024, and the German automaker has announced that this luxury sedan will have a starting price of $62,300 USD (excluding delivery fees).

Priced over $5,500 higher than its predecessor, the 2024 Mercedes E 350 4Matic comes standard with rear-wheel drive, refined design featuring new headlights, flush-mounted door handles, and LED taillights with star-pattern motifs. The car is also equipped with an AMG styling, a panoramic sunroof, and 18 to 21-inch wheels.

Entering the interior, the driver will be greeted with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.4-inch infotainment system. Along with that, the front seats come with heating, illuminated door sills, a 64-color interior ambient lighting system, and wireless phone charging. The car is also equipped with standard digital key technology, which allows owners to lock, unlock, and start the car using their iPhone or Apple Watch.

In terms of safety, buyers will find features such as Active Brake Assist, Active Parking Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Safety Warning. Customers looking for additional features can opt for the Driver Assistance Package, which includes Active Distance Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Active Steering Assist. As for options, the E-Class can be equipped with the Burmester 4D Surround Sound System with 17 speakers. Customers can also opt for the MBUX Superscreen Package, which adds an extra 12.3-inch display for the front passenger as well as entirely new selfie and video recording capabilities.

Moving up to the Pinnacle trim, which starts at $64,850 USD, this version comes with illuminated radiator grille as well as acoustically and thermally insulated glass. Other highlights include a head-up display and an active interior ambient lighting system.

The E 350 4Matic is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, producing a maximum output of 255 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. It features a mild hybrid system, which can provide an additional 23 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque.

The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, combined with standard 4Matic all-wheel drive, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in 6.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 209 km/h.

For those interested in performance, the E 450 4Matic starts at $68,100 USD and goes up to $70,650 USD for the Pinnacle variant. It uses a turbocharged 6-cylinder in-line 3.0L engine, producing a maximum output of 375 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It also features a mild hybrid system which can provide an additional 23 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque.
