The precise details of the drivetrain for the upcoming hybrid models have not been officially revealed, although the ‘HEV’ badge accompanying the model names in the post suggests that the new models will differentiate from the manufacturer’s plug-in hybrid models, which bear the ‘Plug-in Hybrid EV’ badge.

From the horizontal shot, it can be seen that the hybrid versions of the Xpander and Xpander Cross will have blue accents on the body and wheels, which could indicate the electrification of the drivetrain for the upcoming models. The Xpander Cross HEV will also have a more rugged exterior, similar to the internal combustion engine variant, with a grille, a more sturdy front bumper, and wheel arch protectors.

The Xpander and Xpander Cross facelifts were launched in November 2021 and August 2022, respectively, in conventional internal combustion engine form, with a 1.5L naturally aspirated 4-cylinder gasoline engine from the Japanese automaker, producing a maximum power of 105 horsepower and a torque of 141 Nm, combined with a CVT transmission.

In Thailand, the Xpander facelift was introduced to the market with prices starting from 799,000 baht (22,390 USD) for the base GLS-LTD variant, and going up to 895,000 baht (25,080 USD) for the GT variant. The upgraded Xpander Cross was launched in Thailand with a variant priced at 946,000 baht (26,506 USD).
