Today, on February 01, 2024, Mitsubishi officially introduced the all-new Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV models to the Southeast Asian market.

Accordingly, the Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV will have sale prices of 912,000 – 946,000 baht (equivalent to 626 – 650 million VND).

Powering the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV is a combination of a 1.6-liter MIVEC petrol engine with a maximum output of 95 horsepower, peak torque of 134 Nm, and an electric motor for a total power output of 116 horsepower and torque of 255 Nm.

The Xpander HEV is equipped with a 1.1 kWh battery pack, combined with an e-CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds. Average fuel consumption is 5.2L/100km.

In this fuel-efficient version, the car will have 7 driving modes, especially including an EV Mode for full electric driving.

In addition to the engine changes, the exterior and interior of the Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV remain the same as the regular version. The only addition is the HEV logo on the front and rear of the car for identification.

The Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV still have dimensions of 4,595 x 1,750 x 1,750 mm (length x width x height), a wheelbase length of 2,775 mm, and a ground clearance of 195 mm. The Cross version will have slightly higher ground clearance, at 205 mm to facilitate off-roading.

In terms of interior, the Mitsubishi Xpander hybrid has some changes in equipment, such as a larger screen and a redesigned steering wheel.

Accompanying that are a host of utilities such as: an 8-inch size multi-information display; digital air conditioning control on the center touchscreen, with Max Cool function and rear seat and roof vents; one-touch power windows; a leather-wrapped steering wheel adjustable in 4 directions; a 9-inch central touch screen supporting Apple CarPlay / Android Auto; a 6-speaker audio system; wireless phone charging…

On the aspect of safety equipment, the Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV also have a range of driver support features similar to the regular version, such as: ABS anti-lock braking system, EBD brake force distribution system, BA enhanced brake system, ASC stability control system, HSA slope start assist system, ESS emergency brake lighting system, AYC active cornering control system, two front airbags, a rear view camera when parking…

After Thailand, the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV and Xpander Cross HEV may continue to be introduced in other markets, including Vietnam.
