The E-5008 is one of two new Peugeot EVs set to be released in 2024, the other being the E-408. The introduction of the E-5008 will add another model to Peugeot’s growing electric vehicle lineup, which already includes 7 passenger cars and 3 commercial vehicles. In addition to the new fully-electric model, the 2024 Peugeot 5008 will also be available in a version powered by an internal combustion engine and a PHEV.

The all-new E-5008 is expected to be unveiled in August 2024 and will be developed on the STLA-Medium platform, similar to its smaller sibling, the E-3008. The STLA-M platform is the first of four ‘BEV-by-design’ platforms by Stellantis Group.

With the STLA-M platform, the vehicle can be equipped with a 98 kWh battery pack, providing a range of over 700 km, the best in its segment. Additionally, the STLA-M platform can accommodate rear-mounted electric motors, with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Power output can range from 217 PS to 387 PS depending on the drivetrain configuration.

For example, the E-3008 is equipped with a 213 PS electric motor and 343 Nm of torque, paired with front-wheel drive. With a 73 kWh battery pack, the E-3008 has a range of up to 524 km per charge (according to WLTP standards).
