Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II debuts in Malaysia, starting price 1/6 of private imports in Vietnam

Recently, Rolls-Royce unveiled the 2024 model of the Phantom Series II in the Malaysian market. For this Southeast Asian country, the car is available in 2 body styles. The standard Phantom Series II is priced from 2.5 million RM (about 13 billion VND). On the other hand, the Extended version with a wheelbase extended by 50 mm has a starting price of 2.9 million RM (over 15 billion VND).

Similar to other markets, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II in Malaysia is offered with a long list of personalization options, enough to meet the most demanding requirements from customers. The car is available in 44,000 exterior colors, including the Tempest Grey color showcased on the displayed car.

The Phantom Series II is equipped with a twin-turbocharged V12 engine with a displacement of 6.75 liters, generating a power output of 563 horsepower and a torque of 900 Nm, driving the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission. With this power, the “mobile palace” can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

The exterior design of the Phantom Series II is not much different from the Series I, however, the luxury of this sedan has been taken to a new level through the subtle changes made by the British carmaker. The most prominent feature is the distinctive grille of the Phantom, which now has the ability to illuminate similar to the Ghost model. The decorative headlight cluster is crafted with exquisite laser-cut star patterns, creating a visual connection with the Starlight Headliner inside the cabin.

In addition, the Phantom Series II is also supplemented with new wheel design options. One of them is inspired by classic disc wheels with a bright finish. The remaining wheels take inspiration from futuristic models with 3D triangular patterns.

Furthermore, this luxury sedan is also offered with additional customization options, including a dark chrome-plated grille frame, bonnet and windshield surround accents, and black side window and door sill finishers.

The lavish interior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II has not undergone many changes, except for a thicker steering wheel compared to the previous generation to provide a better driving experience. However, the car has been significantly upgraded in terms of technology. One of them is the “Rolls-Royce Connected” feature, which allows the owner to send destination information directly to their vehicle. This feature also displays the location and security status of the car. With just one touch, the owner can contact the preferred dealer to make any service and repair requests.

Currently, the Roll-Royce Phantom Series II has not been officially introduced in Vietnam. However, this car has been imported by some private dealers to sell to domestic customers. According to research, to own this luxury sedan, Vietnamese tycoons need to spend over 80 billion VND.
