The revamped edition of the Hyundai Creta is set to be launched later this month, featuring a more angular design, enhanced safety features, and a new engine.
The first batch of Hyundai Creta 2024 vehicles has recently been delivered to dealerships in preparation for the launch event on January 16th. Images that have been released show that the mid-life facelifted Creta has undergone several changes in terms of its exterior compared to its predecessor.
At the front, the 2024 Hyundai Creta showcases a new, more angular radiator grille with a two-tier lighting system. Above it, there is a strip of LED daytime running lights in the shape of an “L” horizontally placed across the front of the car, while below it, there are a pair of vertically positioned LED headlights.
The rear lights share the same design style as the daytime running lights at the front, also utilizing LED technology. Both the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned and come with new alloy wheels.
The interior of the new Hyundai Creta also undergoes several changes compared to the current version. The most notable upgrade is the dual-screen cluster that combines the instrument cluster and the infotainment display, both measuring 10.25 inches. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a touch screen near the armrest, used to control the air conditioning and various settings in the car. The seats also feature a new design, with the front seats incorporating cooling functions and the driver’s seat offering 8-way power adjustment. Other notable features include a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium 8-speaker Bose sound system.
The Creta 2024 will boast a total of 19 active safety features included in the Hyundai Smartsense package. Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with a 360-degree camera, blind-spot warning system, tire pressure monitoring, 4-wheel disc brakes, and electronic stability control. With this extensive list of features, the Hyundai Creta 2024 is poised to be one of the safest models in the compact SUV segment.
The Hyundai Creta is available with three engine options. Firstly, there is a naturally aspirated 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum power of 115 horsepower. Secondly, there is a diesel engine with the same power output of 115 horsepower. Both engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed automatic transmission, or an IVT continuously variable transmission.
Thirdly, there is a new 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that delivers a maximum power of 160 horsepower, available with either a manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
