Recently, the Vietnamese car market has been constantly in a downturn due to the impact of economic recession. Therefore, car manufacturers and dealers have to regularly run “heavily discounted” promotional campaigns to attract customers.

However, alongside the numerous cars with discounted prices of hundreds of millions of dong, there is a model that is still being sold at a high price at dealerships. That model is the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series.

Close to the Lunar New Year, the staff of a dealership in Hanoi advertised the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series for a “high price” of over 600 million dong. With this amount, Vietnamese customers could buy a brand-new B-segment SUV like the Hyundai Creta or Kia Seltos.

However, this is not the highest “high price” of this Japanese SUV model. At the end of 2022, due to limited supply, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series was previously sold with a price difference of nearly 2 billion dong. Therefore, this car model is also known as the “king of high prices” in the Vietnamese market.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series was launched in the Vietnamese market in July 2021. Since then, the price of this model has been adjusted 3 times, from 4.06 billion to 4.286 billion dong.

In 2023, this model was slightly upgraded with new 20-inch alloy wheels replacing the previous 18-inch ones. In addition, it is equipped with an ion air conditioning system and a new Head-Up Display (HUD). Furthermore, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series is also equipped with a parking brake assist system. At the same time, the warranty period for the car has been extended to 5 years or 150,000 km, depending on whichever condition is met first.

The latest Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series in Vietnam

The remaining features of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series are similar to before, including LED headlights, a combination analog meter with a 7-inch multi-information display, a 12.3-inch center touchscreen display, heated steering wheel, JBL 14-speaker audio system, sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror with full view, electric parking brake, power-adjustable driver’s seat (10-way), power-adjustable front passenger seat (8-way), hands-free power tailgate, and active noise control system.

In addition, the car also has the Toyota Safety Sense active safety technology package with features such as blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, pre-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam adjustment.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series uses a dual-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine with a displacement of 3.5L, producing a maximum power of 409 horsepower and a maximum torque of 650 Nm. The transmission is a completely new 10-speed automatic.

In 2023, Toyota sold a total of 202 Land Cruiser 300 Series cars to customers in Vietnam. This number may not be high, but it is quite impressive for an SUV model with a price of over 4 billion dong, plus an exorbitant “high price” at the dealership.
