In Vietnam, Lamborghini Aventador is quite popular with 4 main variants including LP700-4, S, SV, and SVJ. The S and SV versions have even fewer numbers with only 5 cars imported through official distributors and private individuals.
Recently, the stylish crowd unexpectedly spotted a Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster on the streets of Saigon. This is one of the few Lamborghinis that are rare to see on the streets of Vietnam, as the owner rarely takes it out for a spin.
According to research, the owner of this convertible supercar also owns a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia. This unique “super horse” stands out with the Italian flag stripes that extend from the front to the rear of the car. In addition, this wealthy individual also owns other supercars such as the Ferrari F430 Scuderia and Ferrari F12tdf.
Unlike the first Aventador SV Roadster to arrive in Vietnam in 2016 with a matte yellow paint job, this car is adorned with a Blue Lemans paint that is rarely seen on Aventadors in the country.
Essentially, the car still shares many similarities with the other 3 Aventador SVs owned by the Saigon tycoon, from the black multi-spoke wheels to the carbon fiber details such as the rear wing, side air intakes, and engine covers.
The wheels are distinctive multi-spoke black wheels with matching bronze-colored center wheel locks, and they have a size of 20 inches for the front wheels and 21 inches for the rear wheels. Hidden inside are black brake calipers and ceramic-carbon brake discs.
Unlike the hard-top version, the car features a horizontally situated engine cover made of black composite material. This is the detail that sets it apart from the yellow SV Roadster, which has a glass engine cover that allows the engine underneath to be seen. Additionally, the car also features an SV badge on the rear wheel arch – a detail that is not present on the first convertible SV to arrive in Vietnam.
Powering the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters, similar to other versions. This engine produces a whopping 740 horsepower and 690 Nm of torque.
The power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 7-speed ISR automatic gearbox, allowing this “super bull” to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds – slightly slower by 0.1 seconds compared to the hard-top version – before reaching a top speed of 350 km/h.
With a limited production of only 500 units – less than 100 units compared to the Coupe version, the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is always sought after by enthusiasts worldwide, including Vietnam. The value of the car has been increasing over time, for example, the first SV Coupe to arrive in Vietnam is valued at no less than 30 billion VND.
