In order to attract customers’ attention, VinFast has decided to offer a promotional price for renting VF 8 cars in the US market.

In the US market, VinFast VF 8 is distributed officially with two versions: Eco City Edition and Plus City Edition, with prices of 49,000 and 56,000 USD respectively. In addition, the Vietnamese car manufacturer also offers a rental policy with a cost of 399 USD (9.7 million VND) per month when signing a 3-year contract, accompanied by a deposit of 4,594 USD (112 million VND). Therefore, the total amount that customers need to pay is 527 USD (12.8 million VND) per month.

Recently, VinFast has announced a rental price promotion, valid until January 31st. Accordingly, the rental price has been reduced to 249 USD (6 million VND) per month, accompanied by a deposit of 944 USD (24.2 million VND). Therefore, the actual monthly rental cost is only 275 USD (equivalent to over 6.7 million VND). This figure makes VinFast VF 8 the cheapest rental car model in the US.

According to the US car research and buying service website Cars Direct, the rental package also includes a 7,500 USD tax incentive along with a cash discount of 15,349 USD.

VinFast has not officially announced the reason for the price reduction of renting VF 8 cars. However, according to Carscoops, this move is one of the efforts to increase sales in the land of the rising sun. There is no specific information about the VF 8 sales in the year 2023, but from January to May 2023, Experian recorded that 128 VF 8 cars were sold.

In addition to the rental price reduction, VinFast also applies many other support policies to help customers feel more secure when buying cars. At the end of last year, the Vietnamese car manufacturer announced that it will refund 100 USD (2.4 million VND) to VF 8 owners if they encounter any inconvenience that does not affect the use of the car. In the case of VF 8 car failure, the company will refund 300 USD (7.2 million VND). If it takes more than 3 days for repair, customers will receive an additional 100 USD for each day the car is under maintenance.
