On January 28th, a group of foreign travelers embarked on a cross-border adventure through 4 Southeast Asian countries, starting from Ho Chi Minh City.

The group consisted of 62 members, all of whom are British citizens. They traveled in 31 vintage cars manufactured between 1929 and 1974.

The convoy arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on January 27th and began their journey on January 28th at the Dai Nam racecourse in Binh Duong.

According to the itinerary, the group of 31 vintage cars will travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and then return to the Northwest region of Vietnam before concluding in Hanoi on February 23rd. Each day, the convoy will visit a different location, covering a distance of approximately 300 to 450 kilometers. The total distance of the journey is 6,866 kilometers.

This vintage car rally in Vietnam showcases legendary models, with some cars being as old as 80 to 90 years.

Notable models include four classic Bentley cars: Bentley 1/2 Le Mans (manufactured in 1927), Bentley DHC (manufactured in 1936), Bentley Speed 8 (manufactured in 1947), and Bentley R Type (manufactured in 1953). Additionally, there are three vintage Volvo cars from Sweden, including two PV544 models from 1961 and one 144 model from 1973.

Among the 31 cars, there are 5 rare Mercedes models present: Mercedes 230 SL (manufactured in 1966), Mercedes 350 SL (manufactured in 1971) (2 cars), Mercedes 450 SLC (manufactured in 1972), and Mercedes 350 SL (manufactured in 1974).

The Porsche brand is also represented by 3 cars in this national adventure: Porsche 911 (manufactured in 1972), Porsche 911 Targa (manufactured in 1973), and Porsche 911 (manufactured in 1974).

The group also includes iconic American muscle cars from Ford, such as the Ford Coupe V8 (manufactured in 1939), Ford Mustang Convertible (manufactured in 1965), Ford Escort (manufactured in 1972), and Ford Escort RS1600 (manufactured in 1973).

Other vintage models making an appearance in this adventure include the Chrysler 75 Roadster from 1929, Rockne Six 75 from 1932, Aston Martin Mark II from 1934, Chevrolet Fangio from 1938, Jaguar Mk2 from 1961, Fiat 124 Spider BS1 from 1971, and Rover P6 from 1972.

On the Rally the Globe fanpage, members of the group expressed their excitement and anticipation for this Southeast Asian expedition. They believe that the roads and scenery in Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries are truly amazing and will undoubtedly provide the group with many unpredictable challenges.
