According to the Global Color Report compiled by BASF – the largest chemical company in Germany, a whopping 81% of new cars manufactured globally have simple exterior colors such as white, black, gray, and silver.
In the Asia-Pacific region, white is the most preferred paint color, accounting for 40%. This is followed by black at 21%, and gray and silver at 15% and 9% respectively. These colors are considered simple and somewhat “boring,” but in reality, they help maintain the resale value of the vehicle.
The remaining colors such as blue, red, and green only make up a very small percentage of 8 – 1%. Although these colors are rare, they really showcase the owner’s personality.
In reality, luxury cars often don’t use safe colors. Luxury cars usually sport unique and distinctive colors.
