Powerful SUV-style exterior design

Custin is the MPV with the least MPV designs today. The car is designed with a modern, aerodynamic and classy style, with many unique and impressive details. The front of the car has a large hexagonal grille, surrounded by two chrome bars. The LED positioning cluster is designed in the familiar “Parametric Hidden Lights” style seen in recent Hyundai models like Tucson and Creta, with sharp and sophisticated lines. The Hyundai logo is placed in the center of the grille, creating a highlight for the front of the car.

Hyundai Custin has dimensions of 4,950 x 1,850 x 1,725mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 3,055mm. In terms of size, Custin is smaller than Carnival but larger than Innova and Innova Cross, ensuring comfortable seating for 7 people without being too bulky like its KIA competitor.

The standout feature of the Custin is the electric sliding doors on both sides, providing convenience when in use. The sliding doors make it easy to use in densely populated areas, which are cramped, and can be controlled to open and close in multiple ways: on the door handle, with the key. The LED strip at the rear extends through the luggage compartment with a unique shape. The car’s drag coefficient is only 0.31Cd – the lowest in its segment.

Spacious and luxurious interior space

The car’s interior is designed with a spaceship-inspired concept, aiming to provide comfort and convenience for both the driver and passengers. It offers a luxurious and modern space with ample room.

With a wheelbase of 3,055mm, interior length of 3,430mm, headroom of 1,040mm, and shoulder width of 1,502mm, Hyundai Custin provides a spacious and airy seating space for all positions. In addition, the car also has flexible storage space, with a capacity of 261L when using all 3 rows of seats, 707L when folding the third row of seats, and up to 1,223L when folding the two rows of rear seats. Hyundai Custin has a driver-oriented control panel design, creating an easy-to-use ergonomic feel. The car has a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen that integrates control functions such as navigation, entertainment system, and automatic air conditioning, all operated through this screen.

Premium independent second row seats

The highlight of the seating space in the Custin is the second row seats with “Captain” style independent design. The captain seats provide comfortable and private seating space for customers, while also offering superior amenities in the segment such as wireless charging for each seat, work desk, and storage. Passengers in the second row seats can enjoy the most comfortable space and posture with a maximum recline angle of up to 135 degrees and 10-way power adjustments. Additionally, these seats also feature cooling/heating functions, creating a relaxed feeling for passengers throughout the journey.

Premium amenities

In addition to the luxurious second row seats, the driver’s seat and passenger seat in the Custin are also electronically adjustable, with heating and cooling functions. The steering wheel incorporates a range of control buttons and paddle shifters. In front of the driver is a digital instrument cluster displaying vehicle operation and settings. Like the Tucson and Santa Fe models, Custin is equipped with the “shift by wire” gear selector, which helps to increase space utilization in the front seats.

Other amenities include keyless start button, electronic parking brake, 360-degree surround view camera, dual sunroof, power tailgate, sunshades for rear seats, automatic air conditioning vents, and charging ports for all 3 rows of seats.

Powerful engine options

Hyundai Custin is equipped with front-wheel drive (FWD) and offers 2 engine options:

The first option is a 2.0L Turbo GDi engine (code G4NIII), providing maximum power of 236 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 353Nm at 1,500 – 4,000 rpm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The engine features a low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (LP-EGR) system, intelligent continuously variable valve timing (CVVT), and electronically controlled oil pump to increase engine efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

The second option is a 1.5L Turbo GDi engine (code G4FII), delivering maximum power of 170 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and maximum torque of 253Nm at 1,500 – 4,000 rpm. This version also comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds. The engine features a combination of continuous variable valve duration (CVVD) and CVVT technology, as well as an integrated intake flow control valve to improve fuel efficiency and reduce throttle response delay at low speeds.

Hyundai Custin is equipped with 4 drive modes: Eco (fuel-saving), Comfort (comfortable), Sport (sporty), and Smart (intelligent), which directly intervene in the vehicle’s drivetrain systems such as steering, transmission, and throttle.

High-end safety system

Like many other Hyundai models in the Vietnamese market, Custin is equipped with a full range of active and passive safety technologies: Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Traction Control System (TCS), Blind-spot Collision Avoidance (BCA), Rear Cross-traffic Collision Avoidance (RCCA), Adaptive High Beam system (AHB), and 6 airbags.

Hyundai Custin features the SmartSense advanced safety system, ensuring safety for the driver, passengers, and other road users. The technologies include:

– Lane Keeping Assist (LFA).

– Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA).

– Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

– Driver Attention Warning (DA).

Reasonable price

With a price range of VND 850 – 999 million, Hyundai Custin is a worthy choice with its design and features.
