The McLaren Senna is a limited-edition hypercar produced in a global quantity of 500 units, and few people know that the British brand also created 75 McLaren Senna GTR cars exclusively for racing, which means it is not street legal.
Because of this, a supercar like the McLaren Senna GTR, imported by enthusiast Phan Cong Khanh two years ago, caused a shock to the domestic media. Even before Khanh Super was arrested, many netizens felt sorry for the video of the McLaren Senna GTR racing car, which is worth several villas, being “locked up” at the Tan Cang port warehouse, covered in thick dust on the exterior.
But with only a few hours left until Tet Nguyen Dan, a luxury car importer in Da Nang has revealed the fate of this million-dollar McLaren Senna GTR race car. Specifically, the high-performance machine has completed all the procedures to be exported to another country, and its appearance has also been cleaned up, promising to shine even more when it reaches the West.
The McLaren Senna GTR that was imported to Vietnam is painted in a stylish blue chrome color with prominent details such as the Richard Mille watch brand name, the British flag, and many carbon fiber exterior parts.
This McLaren Senna GTR race car features the number 33 on its exterior. Worldwide, there are only 75 McLaren Senna racing supercars developed exclusively for the VIP customers of the McLaren brand. Among them, the domestic car import unit acquired it from a Hong Kong tycoon.
The price of the McLaren Senna GTR in foreign markets is $1.6 million, $600,000 more expensive than the starting price of the standard Senna owned by Hoang Kim Khanh or “Qua” Vu.
Even in other countries, the McLaren Senna GTR only appears at car exhibitions or, if you want to drive it, it has to be taken to the race track. The McLaren Senna GTR race car is still equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine, but it has a maximum power output of 814 horsepower, 25 horsepower more than the McLaren Senna.
