Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 makes its debut in Southeast Asia, set to create a buzz upon arrival in Vietnam

Toyota has officially launched the 2024 Corolla Cross in the Thai market. The car is available in 4 versions: 1.8 Sport Plus, HEV Premium, HEV Premium Luxury, and HEV GR-Sport, with prices ranging from 999,000 – 1,254,000 baht, equivalent to 680-855 million VNĐ.

Despite being a mid-life update, the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross has received many upgrades in terms of design, interior, and technology.

In terms of exterior, the Toyota B-segment SUV has a more youthful appearance with a redesigned front end. The car features new LED headlights called Crystalized, integrated with sequential turn signals. The hybrid versions have a frameless grille with honeycomb patterns, similar to the design used on the luxury SUV Lexus RX. At the rear, the LED taillights have a sleeker design compared to the previous version.

The interior of the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross has added a new interior color option called Dark Rose (black with deep pink accents), in addition to the standard black color. The car also has a panoramic sunroof with automatic open/close feature. The dashboard area highlights a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Two highly anticipated features, electronic parking brake and intelligent auto hold, have been added to the new Corolla Cross.

Other notable features include 15W wireless charging, USB Type C port, ambient interior lighting, power tailgate, and dashcam.

The safety features of the 2024 Corolla Cross have also been upgraded with automatic parking brake, 360-degree camera, intelligent adaptive cruise control, and 8 front/rear sensors.

The engines of the 2024 Corolla Cross remain the same as the previous version. The standard variant is equipped with a 1.8L 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum output of 140 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 177 Nm at 4,000 rpm, paired with a Super CVT-i 7-speed pseudo-automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the HEV versions feature a hybrid powertrain with a 1.8L gasoline engine and an electric motor, resulting in a total output of 122 horsepower. It comes with an e-CVT transmission and front-wheel drive.

Recently, some Toyota Vietnam dealerships have announced that they are accepting deposits for the 2024 Corolla Cross. Sales consultants have stated that this SUV model will be launched in Vietnam in May this year. However, this information has not been confirmed by the company yet.
