Pagani has recently revealed a new supercar model called the Huayra R Evo, a new version of the Huayra R introduced in 2021. The company has made some improvements to this model, not only in terms of appearance but also in terms of engine, gearbox, and suspension system.
Huayra R Evo is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 R-Evo engine with a maximum power of 900 horsepower and a torque of 770 Nm, stronger than 50 horsepower and 20 Nm compared to the Huayra R. Although equipped with the same engine block as its predecessor, the Huayra R Evo has been upgraded in terms of camshaft, intake, and exhaust manifold, leading to a significant increase in the car’s power.            Â
Between the engine and the rear wheel is a 6-speed sequential gearbox that Pagani designed in collaboration with HWA AG for its Huayra hypercars. This gearbox weighs less than 80 kg. This hypercar model is also equipped with a double-wishbone suspension system made of aluminum alloy, coil springs, electronic controlled shock absorbers, and upgraded control valves.
Huayra R Evo can reach a top speed of 350 km/h when combined with Pirelli P Zero Slick racing tires with sizes of 280/680 R19 at the front and 345/725 R20 at the rear. It is accompanied by the new CCM-R self-ventilating carbon ceramic brake system.
The exterior design of Pagani Huayra R Evo has also been refined to increase aerodynamics. Specifically, the company has expanded the front splitter by about 10cm, integrating and supporting ducts for the cooling system. The car is also extended by about 19 cm at the rear, accompanied by large high-set aerodynamic flaps. These upgrades help the supercar maintain stability even at high speeds. At a speed of 320km/h, Huayra R Evo generates more downforce than the weight of the car when in motion. This hypercar model has a total weight of only 1,060kg – about 69 kg lighter than a new Mazda Miata.
Inside, the seats of Huayra R Evo are wrapped in fire-resistant material, with six-point harnesses and carbon fiber headrests with special side protection. In addition, this model has both left-hand drive and right-hand drive versions.
According to the company’s sharing, Horacio Pagani, the founder came up with the idea for the Huayra R Evo while watching the Formula Indy race in Nashville. It took about two years to complete the car. Pagani said that the company’s new hypercar can compete with the performance of today’s Le Mans Prototype 2 racing cars.
