Recently, Mitsubishi’s factory in Indonesia has officially exported the first batch of Xforce cars. Vietnam is the first market to receive these B-segment SUVs assembled in Indonesia.

The export event took place at Tanjung Priok port in the northern part of Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital. After Vietnam, Mitsubishi Xforce will gradually be exported to other markets such as the Philippines, South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.

Vietnam is the first market to receive Mitsubishi Xforce cars assembled in Indonesia.

To meet the demands of the Indonesian market and exports, Mitsubishi plans to assemble around 20,000 Xforce cars at its factory in Indonesia. Mitsubishi plans to export this B-segment SUV model to about 40 markets, similar to the Xpander.

Mitsubishi Xforce was officially launched in the Vietnamese market on January 10, 2024. According to the plan, these vehicles will be delivered to Vietnamese customers starting from March this year.

Mitsubishi Xforce in Vietnam is available in 4 versions, including GLX, Exceed, Premium, and Ultimate. The prices of the GLX, Exceed, and Premium versions range from 620 to 699 million VND, while the price of the Ultimate version has not been announced yet.

As a commercial version of XFC Concept, which was first introduced at the Vietnam Auto Show 2022, Xforce features Mitsubishi’s familiar Dynamic Shield design language. This SUV model has a large trapezoidal grille, a “T” shaped headlight cluster, rugged front and rear bumpers, and prominent body lines.

The standard version of the car features LED headlights but with 17-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the higher-end version will have additional front LED fog lights, automatic rain-sensing wipers, power-operated trunk, 18-inch wheels, and more.

Inside this B-segment SUV, there is a spacious 5-seater interior thanks to its 2,650mm wheelbase. The interior is designed according to the Horizontal Axis philosophy, so the dashboard and center control panel are wide and horizontal, creating a more open feel.

Mitsubishi Xforce is equipped with a 3-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen center display, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium 8-speaker audio system, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rear passenger vents, nanoeX air filtration function, wireless phone charging, USB Type A/Type C ports, and interior ambient lighting.

Especially, Mitsubishi Xforce in Vietnam also features active safety features ADAS – equipment that is not available in cars for the Indonesian market. The Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing (MMSS) technology includes features such as collision warning system, emergency brake assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert. In addition, there is the Active Yaw Control (AYC) system that helps control the braking force when making sudden turns or entering curves.

Under the hood, Mitsubishi Xforce is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, which is also shared with the Xpander, delivering a maximum output of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 141 Nm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. The car has 4 driving modes, including Normal, Gravel/Rock, Mud/Snow, and Slippery.
