Honda donates helmets to first-grade students in Central region for the academic year 2023-2024

On January 24, 2024, Honda Vietnam (HVN) collaborated with the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC), the Ministry of Education and Training to launch a Helmet Donation Program for first-grade students in conjunction with traffic safety education for students and parents in the Central region.

Joining hands with the Government in realizing the goal of “NO deaths from road traffic accidents” by 2045 and aiming for Honda’s global goal of “NO deaths from Honda Motorcycle and Car-related traffic collisions” by 2050, HVN has decided to donate 2 million helmets to first-grade students nationwide in the academic year 2023 – 2024.

The decision to donate 2 million helmets for the academic year 2023 – 2024 by HVN is aimed at:

– Forming the habit of wearing helmets for motorcycle users in Vietnam, thereby raising the helmet-wearing rate to 100% according to National Technical Standards.

– Providing road traffic safety education for students and parents to raise awareness of road traffic safety through communication activities.

Delegates donating helmets to first-grade students of Vo Thi Sau Primary School

As part of the program, on January 24, 2024, HVN, in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, organized an event to launch the helmet donation to first-grade students while providing road traffic safety education for students and parents in the Central region at Vo Thi Sau Primary School, Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province.

As part of the program, the students of Vo Thi Sau Primary School were honored to represent first-grade students in the Central region to receive standard helmets from the leaders of Honda Vietnam, the National Traffic Safety Committee, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the delegates. In addition, practical and humanitarian road traffic safety education activities were deployed to more than 1,000 students and nearly 400 parents, helping to enhance their awareness of safe traffic participation and risk avoidance prediction skills.

The helmet donation program for first-grade students in the Central region at Vo Thi Sau School was successfully conducted, contributing to the total number of trained students and parents nationwide in road traffic safety knowledge to over 1.8 million students and nearly 130,000 student parents in the academic year 2023 – 2024.
