The new box-shaped radiator grille will give the Santa Cruz 2025 a more rugged look, setting it apart from the Tucson model.

In late November 2023, Hyundai introduced an upgraded version of the Tucson, and it seems that the closely related Santa Cruz unibody pickup truck will receive a similar series of updates. However, based on prototype test images on the road, it appears that the Santa Cruz Facelift will receive a series of upgrades to differentiate it from its crossover sibling.

Although disguised extensively, we can still see that Hyundai’s designers are striving to bring a more angular appearance to the 2025 Santa Cruz Facelift.

Specifically, Hyundai has revised the front grille, while the headlights of the current version are expanded upwards to form a V-shape. In contrast, the facelifted version’s headlights are narrowed down, indicating that the grille will have a more rectangular shape compared to the current version.

In addition, the unlit parts of the grille are neatly arranged and appear larger, unlike the Tucson facelift. This shows that Hyundai is trying to improve the front end of the Santa Cruz, making it look more boxy and like a pickup truck.

The rear end is more disguised than the front, but it seems that the taillights on the facelifted version are quite similar to the current taillight cluster. It’s difficult to know if there are many changes on the sides of the car.

With the updates for the interior of the new Tucson, it is highly likely that Hyundai’s pickup truck will also receive a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. It is currently unknown when the Korean automaker plans to unveil the upgraded Santa Cruz, but it is likely to be released as a 2025 model.
