In 2022, car enthusiast Phan Cong Khanh – a well-known supercar and sports car dealer in Ho Chi Minh City – surprised the online community by posting a series of images of the extraordinary McLaren Senna GTR. The post quickly drew a lot of attention.
However, shortly after, Khanh was arrested for his involvement in a “Property Fraud” case. Since then, the million-dollar McLaren Senna GTR has been left abandoned, covered in dust, at the warehouse.
Recently, a luxury car importer in Da Nang revealed the fate of this supercar. The car has successfully completed the necessary procedures to be exported to another country and is now preparing for a new “life” in the West.
The McLaren Senna GTR features a blue-chrome exterior with highlights such as the Richard Mille logo, the British flag, and some carbon fiber details. The number 33 is also displayed on the hood and body of the car.
The McLaren Senna GTR has a rugged and aggressive appearance with a design aimed at optimal aerodynamics. The front splitter is wider and larger, while the side panels have additional air vents. The rear of the car features a large fixed wing integrated into the rear diffuser. The square-shaped and more pronounced diffuser is sharper than the street version.
The McLaren Senna GTR still uses the Monocage III chassis structure, similar to the standard Senna model. While the standard Senna can generate a maximum of 800 kg of downforce, the Senna GTR can reach up to 1,000 kg. The downforce is maintained on the Senna GTR at speeds lower than 15% of the car’s capability, thanks to the upgraded rear wing system by McLaren engineers.
The Senna GTR is powered by a 4.0L V8 engine that produces a maximum output of 823 horsepower. With a weight of 1,188 kg, the car achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 694 horsepower per ton. Furthermore, this supercar also features a suspension system inherited from McLaren’s GT3 racing cars.
In the international market, the McLaren Senna GTR has a starting price of $1.6 million (approximately 39 billion VND). However, only 75 units will be produced worldwide.
