The first batch of Mitsubishi Xforce cars for export has left Tanjung Priok port in Indonesia and is preparing to arrive in Vietnam for delivery to customers.
Recently, Mitsubishi Indonesia held a ceremony to announce the export of the first batch of Xforce cars at Tanjung Priok port in the North of the capital city Jakarta.
“We are very proud to export the first Xforce cars from our production center in Indonesia. In the future, we hope to export to many different regions, thereby contributing more to Indonesia’s economy and the development of the automotive industry,” said Takao Kato, Chairman and CEO of Mitsubishi.
The first destination for the exported Xforce cars is Vietnam. According to the plan, the cars will arrive in Vietnam this month and be delivered to customers from March.
Mitsubishi Xforce was launched in Vietnam on January 10, 2024, with 4 versions: GLX, Exceed, Premium, Ultimate, at prices starting from 620 million VND. After Vietnam, Xforce will continue to be distributed in other markets such as the Philippines, South Asia, South America, the Middle East, and Africa. According to the company’s announcement, Mitsubishi Xforce will be present in 40 countries worldwide.
Mitsubishi Xforce is positioned in the B-sized crossover/SUV segment, directly competing with rivals such as Toyota Corolla Cross, Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-30, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and MG ZS. The Mitsubishi newcomer has dimensions of 4,390 x 1,810 x 1,660 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,650 mm and a ground clearance of 222 mm.
Mitsubishi Xforce features an interior and exterior design that is almost identical to the XFC Concept model introduced by the Japanese automaker in Vietnam last year, with some unsuitable details removed for commercial production. Overall, this SUV has a modern and muscular appearance thanks to the brand’s distinctive Dynamic Shield design language.
In the standard version, the car is equipped with LED headlights and taillights, a shark fin antenna, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the premium version will have additional LED fog lights, automatic rain wipers, electric tailgate opening/closing, and 18-inch wheels.
Mitsubishi Xforce offers a spacious interior thanks to its long wheelbase of 2,650 mm. Notable equipment on this B-sized crossover includes a 3-spoke steering wheel with integrated function buttons, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium 8-speaker sound system, nanoeX air filter function, USB Type A/Type C charging ports, interior ambient lighting, and dual-zone automatic air conditioning.
Especially, the Mitsubishi Xforce sold in Vietnam is even more advanced than the version currently sold in Indonesia thanks to the inclusion of the Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing (MMSS) active safety technology package, with features such as collision warning system, emergency brake assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. In addition, this crossover is also equipped with Active Yaw Control (AYC) for controlling brake force during sharp steering or cornering.
In Vietnam, Mitsubishi Xforce is equipped with a 1.5L petrol engine with a power output of 104 horsepower and a torque of 141 Nm, combined with a CVT automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The car has 4 driving modes: normal, gravel, mud.
