The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 has been pre-ordered by a private car dealer at an expected price of VND 3.5 billion.

Introduced in August 2023, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado new generation quickly created a buzz in many markets around the world with a completely different new look compared to the old model, accompanied by a series of modern equipment. After almost half a year, a new private car dealer recently announced that they are accepting deposits for this model in Vietnam.

According to information from this dealer, the 2024 Land Cruiser Prado will be imported from April this year for delivery to customers. The car is expected to be priced at about VND 3.5 billion, which is nearly one billion higher than the 2023 Prado VX model (priced at VND 2.628 billion) distributed by Toyota Vietnam.

The 2024 Land Cruiser Prado has a design that is almost completely different from the old generation. The SUV model is developed based on the TNGA-F chassis platform, similar to many SUV and pickup truck models of the group such as Toyota Sequoia, Tundra, and Land Cruiser J300, Lexus GX and the new LX.

The car has dimensions of 4,920 x 2,139 x 1,859 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Compared to the old generation, the car is 60 mm longer, 254 mm wider, 31 mm lower, and the wheelbase is increased by 60 mm. The ground clearance of the car reaches 221 mm, while the approach angle is 30 degrees, departure angle is 22 degrees, and the hill climb angle is 25 degrees.

The exterior of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 combines traditional and modern features. The car has a boxy shape shared with the recently launched 2024 Lexus GX. The square headlights and grille are inspired by the Land Cruiser J60 in the 1980s.

At the rear, the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is equipped with new vertically-positioned taillights, also inspired by the Land Cruiser J60. In the new generation, the car does not use horizontally-opening tailgate like the previous generation but is equipped with an upward-opening tailgate. The rear bumper of the car is designed to protrude high and is painted in matte black, imbuing a rugged vibe.

All versions of the 2024 Land Cruiser Prado will be equipped with standard 18-inch alloy wheels, while 20-inch wheels are offered as an option.

Referring to the US market, the interior of the 2024 Land Cruiser Prado standard version has a configuration of 5 seats with leather upholstery, push-button start, and an entertainment system combined with an 8-inch central screen. This version also has heated front seats and a steering wheel with integrated heating mode, along with a 6-speaker audio system. In addition, the car is also equipped with wireless phone charging.

The higher-end version has SofTex front seats with heating/ventilation/electric adjustment functions, a 12.3-inch touchscreen center display, and a 10-speaker audio system. If desired, customers can pay extra to equip the Premium package with features such as leather seats/heating/ventilation, a head-up display (HUD), a JBL 14-speaker audio system, digital rearview mirror, and a sunroof.

In terms of safety equipment, the new generation Land Cruiser Prado is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 active safety package with driving assistance features such as: Adaptive Cruise Control at multiple speed ranges, Pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, Automatic headlights, Traffic Sign Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Under the hood of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 is the i-Force Max hybrid powertrain, similar to the new generation Tacoma pickup truck. This system includes a turbocharged gasoline engine with a capacity of 2.4L combined with an electric motor, producing a total output of 326 horsepower and a maximum torque of 630 Nm. It is accompanied by an 8-speed automatic transmission.
