Specifically, the Honda City L and G variants will receive a 100% waiver on the registration fee, along with an additional VND 30 million in cash. The current price for the G variant is VND 559 million, and the L variant is VND 589 million. With the 100% waiver, customers purchasing the Honda City will save VND 56 million for the G variant and VND 59 million for the L variant. Adding the VND 30 million cashback, the total promotion for the G variant will be VND 86 million and for the L variant will be VND 89 million.

On the other hand, the top-tier Honda City RS variant will receive a 50% waiver on the registration fee and one year of comprehensive insurance. The current price for the RS variant is VND 609 million, so the registration fee waiver will have a value equivalent to VND 30 million.

Official promotion program for Honda City

It should be noted that this promotion is only applicable to the Honda City G, L, and RS variants manufactured in 2023 (VIN 2023). Compared to the 2024 models, Honda City VIN 2023 has no difference in terms of equipment or design but will have a lower resale value. Additionally, the availability of VIN 2023 models will be limited in terms of quantity and colors, depending on each authorized dealer.

The promotion program by Honda Vietnam is valid for customers who sign a purchase contract and complete full payment from February 20 to February 29, 2024.

In 2023, the Honda City was still the best-selling car of the Honda brand in Vietnam, with a cumulative sales of 9,894 units, representing a 32.6% decrease compared to 2022. With this sales figure, the Honda City ranked third in the B-segment sedan category, following the Hyundai Accent and the Toyota Vios. Moreover, this Japanese model still made it into the top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam in the previous year, holding the last position.

The business results of the Honda City are worth acknowledging as this model has a higher price than most of its competitors, except for the Volkswagen Virtus. The car was given a mid-life facelift in 2023 with some minor design and equipment changes. Notably, it was equipped with the standard Honda Sensing active safety technology package, a feature that the Toyota Vios and Hyundai Accent are still missing. Additionally, the Honda City was also upgraded with rear disc brakes.
