Hyundai car sales in January 2024 (units)
The decrease in Hyundai sales by one-third compared to December 2023 is not surprising, as the government’s 50% preferential registration fee policy officially expired in January 2024. Additionally, January 2024 coincided with the approach of the Lunar New Year, which limited the purchasing mindset of customers and resulted in a decrease in Hyundai sales as well as the overall market. After the Lunar New Year period, the market is expected to stabilize and car sales are expected to increase in the following business months.
