Specific information about the Tank 300 and Haval Jolion in Vietnam has not yet been disclosed. However, we can refer to the information about these two models in the Thai market.

Haval Jolion

Haval Jolion is a B-segment SUV that was first introduced in the Thai market in 2021. When it is sold in Vietnam, this model will be a new competitor for the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda HR-V, and Toyota Yaris Cross.

Haval Jolion has a notable longer wheelbase

Like its predecessor, the H6, this B-segment SUV is equipped with a hybrid drivetrain instead of a conventional gasoline engine. Specifically, the Haval Jolion uses a 1.5L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine, an electric motor, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This drivetrain produces a maximum power output of 190 horsepower and a maximum torque of 375 Nm.

The Haval Jolion in the Thai market currently has two versions: Sport and Ultra. The Sport version features some exterior details that are different from the Ultra version, such as the radiator grille, the center air intake, the front and rear light clusters.

However, the standard version of this B-segment SUV only comes with safety features such as adaptive cruise control, 4 airbags, electronic parking brake, automatic temporary braking, reverse camera, hill start assist, hill descent control, tire pressure monitoring, driver inattentive warning, and automatic post-collision braking. Advanced safety features such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring are only available in the premium version.

The price of the Haval Jolion in the Thai market ranges from 799,000 – 999,000 Baht (approximately 543 – 679 million VND).

Tank 300

Unlike the H6 and Jolion, the Tank 300 is not part of the Haval brand. Instead, this model belongs to the Tank brand of the parent company Great Wall Motor (GWM).

Officially launched in Thailand in September 2023, the Tank 300 is positioned in the D-segment SUV segment, alongside the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Everest. Specifically, the car has dimensions of 4,760 x 1,930 x 1,903 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

The Tank 300 will be a competitor to the Ford Everest in Vietnam

Unlike the Haval models, the Tank 300 features a boxy design, in line with the rugged SUV style. The exterior of this SUV is reminiscent of the new generation Ford Bronco, especially the front end with its high and straight grille and round headlights in a classic style. The headlight cluster is divided by a horizontal LED strip that extends to the front fenders.

In addition, the car has a protruding front bumper with integrated fog lights, extended fender flares, square-shaped side mirrors, straight roof with integrated roof rack, vertical taillights, and a spare tire mounted on the rear tailgate. In the Thai market, this model has notable features such as full LED lighting from front to rear, automatic headlights, and 17-inch alloy wheels with 265/65 R17 tires.

On the front of the driver is a 4-way adjustable steering wheel with sport shift paddles and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Next to it is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, an Infinity 8-speaker sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, PM 2.5 air filtration, USB Type A/Type C ports, electronic parking brake, interior ambient lighting, sunroof, and auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Power is transmitted to the wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The safety features of this mid-size SUV are also very comprehensive, including adaptive cruise control, 3-mode automatic parking assist, automatic reverse assist, 360-degree camera, automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, side-collision avoidance with large vehicles, lane-keeping assist, emergency lane-keeping assist, post-collision automatic braking, hill descent control, door-opening collision warning, and tire pressure monitoring.
