One of the factors that make SUV/CUV models increasingly popular is the spacious interior and especially the luggage compartment. Here is a list of SUV/CUV models with the largest luggage compartment in each segment.

Segment A SUV/CUV

Kia Sonet, although a small SUV/CUV, is favored for its luggage compartment with a standard capacity of 392 liters, which is comparable to mid-size models on the market.

Kia Sonet has a relatively large size, with dimensions of 4,120 x 1,790 x 1,642 (mm). This is equivalent to the 7-seater variant in the Indian market, but in Vietnam, the car is only available in a 5-seater configuration.

Segment B SUV/CUV

This is one of the most vibrant segments in the Vietnamese market, with many strong players mainly from Asian brands, especially Japan and South Korea.

In the B segment, the Toyota Corolla Cross is the model with the widest luggage compartment, with a standard volume of 440 liters, which can accommodate up to 4 suitcases or 2 golf bags, suitable for families on long trips. The dimensions of Toyota Corolla Cross are 4,460 x 1,825 x 1,620 (mm). The wheelbase is 2,640 mm.

Segment C SUV/CUV

If you prefer an SUV with a spacious luggage compartment and don’t have to worry about luggage when traveling with your family, you should consider buying a Subaru Forester. Specifically, the actual volume of Subaru Forester’s luggage compartment is up to 1,003 liters, which can store a lot of luggage. Not stopping there, if you fold the rear seats, the volume of the luggage compartment will increase to 2,155 liters, making it the largest luggage compartment in its segment.

Subaru Forester has dimensions of 4,625 mm in length, 1,815 mm in width, and 1,730 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,670 mm, 10 mm longer than the Honda CR-V and equal to the Hyundai Tucson.

Segment D SUV/CUV

In the D segment, the Ford Everest is the most outstanding model in terms of standard volume with 249 liters, which can accommodate 2 medium to large-sized suitcases. This space can be expanded to 898 liters when the third row seats are folded and up to 1,823 liters when all three rows are folded.

Compared to the previous generation, the dimensions of the 2023 Ford Everest have increased in all three dimensions: length, width, and height, with 4,914 x 1,923 x 1,842 (mm) respectively. The wheelbase has also increased by 50 mm to 2,900 mm, providing extremely spacious passenger space.

Segment E SUV/CUV

In the E segment SUV/CUV, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the model with the largest standard luggage compartment when all three rows are in use (793 liters), sufficient for all passengers’ short trips. When the second-row seats are folded, this capacity can be expanded up to 2,916 liters, ideal for transporting large-sized luggage and items.

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has dimensions of 5,204 x 1,979 x 1,815 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm.
