During the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), the Wuling brand officially introduced a new electric car model to the archipelago country, the Cloud EV. In fact, the Wuling Cloud EV is actually the Baojun Yunduo model currently being sold in the Chinese market. Wuling and Baojun are both sub-brands of the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, so it’s not surprising that they share the same car.
The Cloud EV is Wuling’s third electric car model in the Indonesian market, following the Air EV and BinguoEV. However, at the moment, this electric car model is only showcased at the IIMS 2024 exhibition and has not yet been available for sale in the Indonesian market. Therefore, the price of the Wuling Cloud EV in this market has not been announced.
“The price will be announced in the second quarter of this year. We have not yet officially accepted deposits. If customers are interested and want to know more about the Cloud EV, they can visit the nearest dealerships“, said Mr. Dian Asmahani, Director of Sales and Marketing at Wuling Indonesia.
Wuling Cloud EV may be available in Indonesia this year
The Wuling Cloud EV has dimensions of 4,259 x 1,850 x 1,652 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. Thus, the length of this car model is similar to a B-segment car, but the wheelbase is equivalent to a C-segment car.
Although called an MPV by the manufacturer, the Wuling Cloud EV has a design closer to a hatchback. This electric car model features a rounded design to match its name – Cloud.
At the front, the Wuling Cloud EV is impressive with a two-tier LED daytime running light strip that divides the front into two sections. On the two corners of the front bumper are large-sized LED headlights. Beside them, there is a wide trapezoidal air vent on the front bumper, decorated with chrome-plated trim.

In addition, this Chinese electric car model features a short hood and a sleek side design with minimal crease lines. The charging port is located on the front mudguard on the left side, hidden door handles, black-painted pillars to create a floating roof effect, straight window line, and chrome-plated trim near the door sill. The wheels are alloy ones with a scratch-polished 5-spoke design.
At the rear, the electric car has a wide rear light cluster that is connected by a chrome-plated trim and a horizontal light strip running across the trunk. Similar to the front end, the rear end of the car also has a two-tier design with a small air outlet located just below the rear windshield.

Inside the Wuling Cloud EV, there is a 2-row seating layout with 5 seats. The highlight of this electric car model is the seats inspired by Italian water foam sofas with manual cutting technique, providing a cozy and comfortable feeling like at home. Following that is the dashboard, door trims, and center control cluster with wood trims.

The steering wheel has a 2-spoke design with a flat bottom and integrated function buttons. Behind the steering wheel is a digital instrument cluster with an 8.8-inch LCD screen, while the 15.6-inch touchscreen is mounted on top of the dashboard. LingOS 2.0 operating system and MediaTek MT8666 chip will support voice control features, navigation system, and remote control of the car. The interior is also equipped with a 256-color ambient lighting system and one-touch power windows in all positions.

In addition, the car is equipped with safety features such as intelligent parking assist system, cruise control system, and 360-degree camera.
The Wuling Cloud EV is expected to use a similar powertrain to the Baojun Yunduo in the Chinese market. If that’s the case, the car will be equipped with a powerful 100 kW electric motor (about 136 horsepower), combined with LFP batteries provided by Liuzhou Huating New Energy Technology. The car’s battery has two capacity levels: 37.9 kWh and 50.6 kWh, providing a range of 360 km and 460 km respectively. The car has a maximum speed of 150 km/h.

In the Chinese market, the Baojun Yunduo currently has a price range from 95,800 to 123,800 Chinese Yuan (about 329 – 426 million VND).
