Nissan Navara’s next-generation is expected to have a similar engine configuration as the Mitsubishi Triton. In addition, the vehicle will also be available in a hybrid version.

While the Mitsubishi Triton underwent an upgrade in July last year, the next-generation of the Nissan Navara, which shares the same chassis, is still under development. At present, Nissan has kept information about this model under wraps. However, based on the Mitsubishi Triton and various rumors, the famous graphic designer Theottle has recently released conceptual images of the new Nissan Navara.

As they share the same chassis, the size and proportions of the Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi Triton also have similarities. However, the unique features of the Nissan are emphasized in more specific details such as the V-Motion grille, new headlights, and taillights.

The engine of the Nissan Navara could also be based on the Mitsubishi Triton’s new generation. Currently, the Mitsubishi pickup comes with a 2.4L diesel engine with three power levels: 148, 181, and 201 horsepower.

Both models are expected to have hybrid versions in the future, but the new Navara may use a petrol-electric configuration, while the Triton will continue with its diesel-electric combination.

The next-generation Nissan Navara is expected to be launched in the second half of 2024 or in 2025.
