According to the plan, by 2025, Chinese automaker Nio will officially deliver the first ET9 cars to customers. At the moment, Nio is continuously releasing videos showcasing the features of the car to attract users.
Recently, the Chinese automaker shared a video of the company’s flagship electric car, the ET9, “bouncing” in place to shake off the thick layer of snow from the body.
A few months ago, Nio also tested the car’s suspension system by placing a cup tower on the hood and driving the car over speed bumps, but no water spilled out of the cup and the cup tower did not move.
It is known that the Nio ET9 is developed based on the SkyRide Intelligent Chassis System. This chassis integrates three elements: the Steer-by-wire electronic steering system, the Rear Wheel Steering technology, and the world’s first Fully Active Suspension system.
Thanks to this advanced suspension system, every shock absorber on the ET9 is independently controlled by its own hydraulic pump, and hydraulic components accompany the hydraulic pump to achieve a vertical movement range of 50 mm. As a result, the ET9 has a smoothness that few other cars can match.
In addition to the “sophisticated” suspension system, the Nio ET9 is also equipped with many luxurious and modern conveniences inside the cabin, such as a 2m-long central control unit, a 15.6-inch center touchscreen, a rectangular-shaped steering wheel, a sunroof, and a HUD display.
The ET9 also has a separate display screen for a personal virtual assistant named NOMI. This is also the world’s first car model to use a 5nm system chip for superior processing power. The second-row seats of the car are designed in the style of business class aircraft cabins with the backrest able to recline up to 45 degrees, super thick cushions, and can be adjusted in 11 different ways with just one button press.
The large-sized sedan Nio ET9 is powered by two electric motors: a front motor with a synchronous type, producing 241 horsepower, and a rear motor with a permanent magnet type, producing 456 horsepower. When combined, the car has a total power of up to 697 horsepower.
This car uses the third-generation platform of Nio, with a structure of 900V, the first time it appeared in a Chinese car, operating at a maximum voltage of 925V, allowing for ultra-fast charging with a maximum power of 600 kW and a maximum current of 765A.
The 120 kWh battery pack with 46,105 cells gives the car the ability to travel an additional 255 km in just 5 minutes of charging. And like other Nio cars, the ET9 also supports battery switching in just 3 minutes.
In China, the ET9 has been put on sale with a starting price of 800,000 CNY (about 2.7 billion VND). Customers can already place orders for the car, but they have to wait until 2025 to receive the car.
