The rugged SUV Toyota Land Cruiser has been discontinued in the US market. However, American customers still have another option when they want to own a vehicle with the Land Cruiser brand, which is the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. Unlike other markets, the new Land Cruiser Prado in the US is called the Toyota Land Cruiser.

Introduced in August last year, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 has just been priced in the US market. Accordingly, this SUV model has 3 versions and prices ranging from $55,950 – $74,950 (about 1.37 – 1.83 billion VND). This price does not include shipping and delivery costs, which are $1,395.

The standard version of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 in the US is the Land Cruiser 1958, with a classic-inspired design that resembles the first-generation Land Cruiser. Specifically, the Land Cruiser 1958 is equipped with round LED headlights and an unpainted front bumper, making it easily distinguishable from the other two versions.

In the US market, the Land Cruiser 1958 comes with standard features such as heated cloth seats, smart key, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 8-inch center touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, and blind-spot monitoring system.

The second one is the Land Cruiser version with a price of $61,950. This mid-range version features rectangular LED headlights, seats upholstered in SofTex faux leather, power-adjustable seats, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and center touchscreen display, 10-speaker audio system, power liftgate, etc. In addition, the Land Cruiser version also has additional off-road towing or driving assistance systems such as the Multi-Terrain Select driving mode for different terrains and a Multi-Terrain Monitor underbody camera.

For those who want to own a more luxurious car, they can add extra money for the optional Premium Package. This package includes leather seats with cooling function, JBL 14-speaker audio system, digital rearview mirror, head-up display (HUD), power-adjustable sunroof, and center console refrigerator.

Finally, there is the top-of-the-line First Edition version, which features similar round headlights to the standard version and 18-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, it is adorned with the “First Edition” logo, a roof rack, side skirts, and a front skid plate.

In any version, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 in the US is equipped with the i-Force Max hybrid powertrain, which includes a 4-cylinder, 2.4L gasoline engine, a 1.87 kWh battery pack, and an 8-speed automatic transmission integrated with an electric motor, producing a total output of 326 horsepower and a peak torque of 630 Nm.

This year, the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will also be available for sale in Vietnam. Toyota dealerships in Vietnam have started taking deposits for this model, with deliveries scheduled for July this year. The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024 in Vietnam is expected to come with a new 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine. Paired with the new 8-speed automatic transmission, this engine delivers a maximum output of 278 horsepower and a peak torque of 430 Nm. According to rumors, the car will be priced at over 3 billion VND in Vietnam.
